Never Been Busier

Abstract

In March 2020 the UK entered Lockdown and across the country performances were cancelled. As a working magician, storyteller and prop maker I had to quickly change the way I worked to ensure I could pay the bills. This article is a personal look at my time during the spring and summer of 2019, how I was forced to move activity online, change performances to become Covid secure and embrace the changes caused by the lockdown. Along side the impact and changes I had to make are personal reflections on how the magic industry responded to the situation and how it may have to  change in the future.
